Now more than ever, it’s important for us to come together.

Dear Friends,

Like every public-facing Jewish organisation across the UK we have had to close JW3's physical doors for the time being as the safety of our visitors, members, volunteers, staff, teachers, presenters and performers will always come first.

There are now many hundreds of synagogues, schools, Jewish youth movements, Jewish centres of learning, cultural organisations and more who have had to stop bringing people physically together into our spaces to deliver our services.

The good news is that whilst so many of us have had to close our doors for now, most of us have opened our minds wider and started to flex our creative muscles a bit further than usual as we all get even more creative than ever.

At JW3 we’ve been so incredibly inspired by all of our friends and colleagues across the entire Jewish community who've been working around the clock to serve the community with online content as quickly as possible. So inspired in fact, that we wanted you to have one place where you can find it all. We know it can be overwhelming to have so many different links and nudges and prompts coming at us at the moment from Facebook, Whatsapp, email, HouseParty, Twitter, e-newsletters and more. It's information overload and we're already feeling dizzy!

So here it is - your new free online community hub with as much content from across the diversity of our British Jewish community as we can curate, as quickly as the JW3 digital elves can curate it. Streaming right through your front door. Or your inbox. Or phone, or ipad or whatever clever devices you're using.

You'll see that the vast majority of this content is free. Where there are charges to access content, it's mostly for films (covering the distributors' fees) or classes such as Hebrew lessons (where the teachers still need to be paid; they've got mouths to feed too, right?).

We've divided this site into simple sections:

*JW3 TV - for JW3's own digital content. This is the only content that we can take responsibility (or credit!) for. If you love it, that's down to our fab Programming Team, so please give us a positive shout out on your socials. If you don't like it, that's our bad - sorry.

*Coming Up: Live - for forthcoming events, activities, classes, concerts, services and more, from across the Jewish community. Check the tags and info carefully so you know who the provider is and whether it's your particular Jewish flavour or not. We can't take any responsibility for the quality or the content of anything not created by JW3 - but we're confident that our partners are working hard to create fantastic, engaging, stimulating digital content for you. If you love what you see/experience let the organisers know, share with your friends, and praise them on social media.

*Watch Now - archive or recorded content from a wide range of British Jewish organisations and individuals for you to access at your leisure. Over a nice glass of Palwin's 4a or a slice of matzah and Haimishe pickle. We'll keep adding more to this section, so keep checking back in.

*Contact Us - to submit any digital content from your Jewish organisation that you'd like us to include on this site. Just bear with us - we're working as fast as we can to get new events and activities uploaded. We can't promise we will include everything submitted, but if it's in line with our values and we think it's fitting, we'll do our best.

This site is brand spanking new, built through the night by JW3's very own Zoe Steel over a 10 hour mammoth session fuelled by many bottles of Diet Coke and lots of encouragement (and annoying suggestions) by me! It's a work-in-progress and we'll do our best to add new features when we can.

For now, we hope you enjoy it and that it opens multiple windows to the rich tapestry that is British-Jewish life, alive and kicking and more creative than you could have possibly imagined!

JW3's mission is to increase the quality, variety and volume of Jewish conversation by bringing people together, across the divides. We hope this new website will help us achieve that despite the many challenges we all face.

If there's one thing we've learned since we opened our doors back in 2013, it's that we really are #strongertogether.
