AJR: The Raid on Entebbe with Rami Sherman

Rami Sherman ’s parents were holocaust survivors and in 1945 went to live on a kibbutz in Israel where Rami grew up.

When an Air France flight was hijacked by Palestinian terrorists and re-routed to Entebbe in July 1976, Rami was the Operations Officer of the 240-strong unit of officers and soldiers, under the command of Yoni Netanyahu z”l. A plan was hastily put together to rescue 104 Jewish hostages from a hostile country no one had any knowledge of. He was wholly involved with the preparation of this daring and fantastical operation and fully committed to its success.
