JOFA & LAVIOT: Unnamed Women
Many women in Tannach do not have a name; they are the daughters of, the wives of, the mothers of. Although they do not have a name, often their existence is a story changer. Together we will explore these "nameless" women, their stories, and what they teach us.
This 3 part shiur series is a collaboration between Laviot and JOFA UK and will run via zoom 8pm-9pm on Mondays the 25th May, 1st June and 8th June. Rabbi Eryn London will be teaching and each session will be covering different women, feel free to come to as many as you are able to. This event is open to anyone who wants to come and learn. Rabbi Eryn London, lives in London and is the JOFA UK Scholar in Residence. She received smicha from Yeshivat Maharat in June 2017. Following smicha ordination, she trained and worked as a multi-faith hospital chaplain in New York City, as well as received chaplain board certification. She is a graduate of Goucher College and Goldsmiths, University of London. She made aliyah in 2010, and studied at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies and the Susi Bradfield Women's Institute of Halachic Leadership at Midreshet Lindenbaum. She has lectured in Australia, Canada, Colombia, Israel, the UK, and the US.
